ABOUT THIS RING

We seldom encounter Art Deco dinner rings of this impressive proportion, and when we do they have been converted from a bar pin. In this case, however, we have a magnificent Jazz Age (circa 1920s) original that clocks in at just over one-and-a-half-inch in length. A central old mine-cut diamond, weighing .80 carat, radiates north and south in a highly-stylized bow motif, ornamented with a sparkling array of small European-cut diamonds, fanciful filigree work and mirror-image chevrons of scissor-cut calibre sapphires (synthetic but entirely original to the ring and the period). This stunning showstopper gently curves to caress your finger. 2.35 carats total diamond weight, ring size 5 1/4.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
