ABOUT THIS RING

This flashy estate diamond engagement ring from the latter Art Deco period - the 1930s - is a big and impressive look for the price. The center European cut diamond weighs 1.30 carats but appears even larger due to its square setting. The diamond is of a lower than average color, but since it sits low in the setting it faces up significantly better than the clinical color grading would indicate, especially in daylight. The platinum and diamond setting which boldly exhibits the modern geometry of the period also enhances the size and color of the center stone due to its relatively larger than average size relative to the center diamond. A big and beautiful look!

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
