ABOUT THIS RING

A ravishing, rich, red ruby (about as red as they come), weighing 1.75 carats, radiates from the center of this finely crafted platinum and diamond Art Deco ring. We acquired this unique and wonderful ring as part of an estate and we are uncertain of its vintage. It could date from anytime between the late 1930s to the late-twentieth century - it's difficult to discern. The ring is intricately hand fabricated and displays exemplary craftsmanship throughout. The cuts of the diamonds are mixed (some are modern cut) and some may have replaced over the years, including the ruby, which is the cause of our uncertainty as to its exact vintage. Nevertheless, this is a breathtakingly beautiful and singular jewel. In a finger size 6 1/4.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
