ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

This graceful and exotic pendant necklace in platinum, diamonds and calibre sapphires was hand crafted during the pinnacle of the Art deco period - circa 1925. The pagoda motif was occasionally employed in jewels of this vintage in order to soften and refine the sometimes too rigid geometric symmetry. Here we have a stunning example, and a felicitous marriage, of symmetry and fluidity, and what's more, the pear shape element at the bottom swings freely back and forth! High-quality diamonds and exemplary craftsmanship throughout. 1 7/8 inches long from very top of bail to the bottom. With platinum chain - a rare beauty. This pendant hangs from a 16 inch platinum chain.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
