A fabulous timepiece from the 1940's exhibiting the design influences that were characteristic of the Retro era. The distinctive asymmetrical lines in this piece were a reflection of those seen in architecture, clothing and furniture while the harmony between rose gold and rubies was created because of the shortage of platinum during World War ll. The watch is rendered in 14 karat rose gold, incorporating diamond set platinum accents and baguette cut rubies, and houses a 17 jewel manual wind movement by Croton. The stylized, knife edge bar link bracelet uniquely attaches by a disguised clasp. Retro for the metro!
