Museum quality, late 19th century, champleve, hunter case pocket watch in the style of Falize. The impeccable enamel work, in Etruscan Revival colors, depicts winged serpents surrounded with a whip-lashing foliate motif. The flawless, white enamel watch face is punctuated with Roman Numeral chapters, and a sunk subsidiary second dial. Even the bow is intricately engraved and enameled! Quite simply, this watch is perhaps the finest example of its craft we have seen.
