ABOUT THIS JEWELRY

Crafted in platinum and 14K gold, this elegant Art Deco tuxedo set - circa 1930s - is comprised of a pair of double-sided cufflinks, four vest buttons (or large shirt studs) and a pair of small shirt studs. The shimmering, glimmering, iridescent mother-of-pearl centers are framed with an engraved bright-cut pattern. It was created by L.E. Garrigus & Co., a maker of fine cufflinks and dress sets during the early-to-middle years of the 20th century. The firm's gold and platinum jewels were sold by Tiffany & Company among other prestigious jewelers of the day. The cuff links measure 9/16 inch, the large studs measure 1/2 inch and the small ones measure 5/16 inch.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
