This big, bright, brilliant, beautiful and superbly proportioned pear shape diamond weighs 4.89 carats - however, due to masterful cutting, the stone appears to be at about 5.50 carats. This magnificent diamond radiates from between a pair of giant tapered baguette diamonds, which we estimate to weigh just under one carat total, in a classic solitaire mounting hand fabricated in platinum. The pear shape diamond is accompanied by a GIA - Gem Trade Laboratory certificate stating 'J' color - 'SI2' clarity; however, we strongly disagree about the clarity. If this is an SI2, then it's the cleanest one we've ever seen - it's an SI1 all day long! In any case, a truly gorgeous estate diamond ring.
