An oval frame of sparkling, deep cut, old mine diamonds, totaling 1.50 carats, surround a deep royal-blue sapphire also weighing approximately 1.50 carats. The light, well-made mounting in 18 karat yellow gold, which has been rhodium plated, has a graceful, airy, decorative gallery. Most likely of British origin, this very lovely ring measures 5/8 inch by just over 1/2 inch across.
