16.40 Carat Natural, No Heat, Gem Cabochon Sapphire and Diamond Edwardian Ring

Phenomenal old gem material, transformed into a truly magnificent bullet-shape (or ‘sugarloaf’) cabochon, is showcased in a sublime Edwardian mounting, circa 1900. This impressive, collectable and mesmerizing 16.40 carat natural, no heat sapphire is graced with a delicate halo of fine European-cut diamonds. The sapphire is almost flawless and displays the rich blue glow and internal characteristics one would expect in an ultra-fine Burmese gem; in fact, here's what the AGL (American Gemological Laboratories has to say: "Although this material exhibits certain visual and internal characteristics associated with Burma (Myanmar), it is the opinion of the laboratory, based on the weight weight of evidence, that the origin would be classified as Ceylon (Sri Lanka). An absolutely sensational antique ring - circa 1915 - from all perspectives!

Most rings can be sized up or down one size unless noted and sometimes more.
