Early 20th century pin consisting of a bas relief classic Greek female figure reverse painted with white sulfide on a domed glass backed with a Morpho butterfly wing ground. These pins were made during the early 20th century and were reminiscent of Wedgwood from the late 19th century. This jewelry became popular after an exhibit by Thomas L. Mott (TLM) at the British Empire Exhibition in 1924. This sweet pin is marked TLM Sterling England and is in excellent condition with no rusty deterioration that is found on some of these morpho butterfly wing pieces.
