An enchantingly beautiful and resplendent original Art Nouveau dragonfly brooch, circa 1900. Her wings shimmer and glow in translucent, subtly shaded plique-a-jour enamel which transitions from yellowish-green to aqua-blue, and sparkles with old-mine and rose-cut diamonds and ravishing red rubies. A rose-cut diamond derrier, a single pearl, a cabochon emerald and a pair of ruby eyes complete this magnifique and majestic jewel. Just shy of a 2 1/2 inch wingspan; 1 3/4 inches tall.
