Roman Forum Micro-Mosaic Pendant and Brooch by Elizabeth Locke

A ruin of the former world headquarters of western civilization - the Roman Forum is depicted in teeny-tiny micro-mosaic tesserae in this very striking and unusual bauble designed by Elizabeth Locke of Virgina and Madison Avenue. The nineteenth-century mosaic is beautifully framed in hand-hammered 19 karat yellow gold (the designer's signature precious metal) and is further adorned with anciently inspired twisted rope and raised-bead motifs. 1 3/8 inches (not including the flip-up loop) by 1 3/16 inch.
