Compared to their ruby and sapphire cousins, emerald and diamond crescent brooches are relatively rare. This very lovely slice of the moon is crafted in platinum over gold and dates back to the late nineteenth-century Victorian period. Twelve old mine-cut diamonds sparkle from above and between two outer rows of bright-green emeralds. The pin back is removable and a flip-up loop is provided to allow for it to be worn as a pendant. 1 3/16 inches.
