Marsh & Co. Spiderweb Necklace

Every day is Halloween! with this unique, creepy-crawly and weirdly enchanting vintage necklace, circa 1930's to 1940's. The central open work plaque effectively depicts a thirsty spider making his way up its web toward an inviting, glistening drop of water - a glowing moonstone. The unusual materials incorporated - blackened steel and platinum, jade and pearl, indicate that this extraordinary piece was undoubtedly produced by the venerable, highly creative and iconoclastic San Francisco jeweler Marsh & Co. The white gold and diamond necklace was replaced sometime later. A spectacular, rare, collectible and marvelously macabre keepsake.
