A rare, fanciful and consummately Victorian antique necklace adorned with seed pearls and accented with black enamel. This opulent jewel is draped all around with golden swags, each of which is punctuated with a dancing pendant drop. The elaborately ornamented centerpiece includes a textured foliate motif and fleur de lys, delicate scrollwork and a single tiny ruby glistening dead center. The chains are 10 karat, the centerpiece is crafted in 14 karat. A truly splendorous and exemplary nineteenth-century jewel.
