Large Antique Garnet Cross

A fabulous large scale antique cross - 3 inches high (excluding the matching 5/8 inch bail, by 2 1/8 inches across) - glistening with rich burgundy color garnets. The faceted gemstones are unusually cut with extra large tables which lend an entrancing mirror-like effect. A rare and wonderful jewel, superbly crafted in 10 karat rose gold, likely of late-nineteenth century Central European origin.
