A rare and extraordinary, mid-twentieth century vintage diamond necklace by one of the world's most unique and recognizable (by those in the know) jewelers - Marsh & Co., formerly of San Francisco. This striking and dramatic necklace is comprised of five repeating sections composed of Marsh's signature blackened steel, combined with sparkling white full-cut diamonds set in 18 karat white gold. The blackened steel shows some blooming on the edges which, under the circumstances, can be equated with a time-worn patina and lends the effect of shimmering highlights. A very chic, collectable and wearable jewel. 15 inches; 163 diamonds = 5.00 carats total.
