A splendid nineteenth-century double-tassel necklace (and removable brooch) adorned with consummate Victorian ornamentation. The elegantly modeled cartouche is crowned with a textured green gold quatrefoil leaf motif supporting a lustrous natural pearl center. Scroll overlays, fanciful black enamel accents and hand engraving add artful visual complexity above a pair of dancing tassels. The original antique chain measures 21 inches. A true Victorian beauty.
