Sarpech is a turban ornament, sar meaning head and pech meaning screw, worn by Hindu noblemen or princes. The vertical jigha portion is often styled like a feather or flower and is sometimes underlined by a sarpati worn horizontally beneath. The western world has a similar head or hair ornament called an aigrette and in Persia, it’s called jikka or jiqa and in Turkey, they wear a Sorguch.
