The movement called Edwardian in Great Britain was called Belle Epoch (beautiful era) in France. Belle Epoch jewelry is characterized by garlands and swags of foliate motifs, lace and bows. Designs reflect on the motifs of the neoclassical and rococo of the French courts of the 18th century. See Edwardian.
