Benoiton

A benoiton is a hair decoration, comprised of several chains which were secured in the hair and dangled downwards where they were kept in place on the bodice. This style became popular (briefly) after Victorien Sardou (1831-1908) wrote the comedy "La Famille Benoiton" in 1866.
