Pointillism

Pointillism is an impressionists style of painting from the late 19th century where small dots of paint, in primary colors, were applied to the canvas. This creates the illusion of intermediate colors to the eye of the viewer. This technique is also applied to computer screens. The painters Seurat and Signac were the two most prominent advocates of this technique.
