A putto (pl. = putti, from Latin: boy) is a chubby naked child boy, often with wings, that was used extensively as a depiction of peace, Heaven, and other meanings in the early Renaissance Period. In jewelry, putti are often depicted as figural golden cherubs or in painterly enamel.
