Regard ring

A regard ring is a ring which has been set with gemstones which first letters correspond with the word "regard" - Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, Ruby and Diamond - and are set in that sequence. This typical Victorian use started around 1840 and was given as a token of loving sentiments.
During Napoleonic times bracelets of this type have also been created with different texts.
