- Court Jewelers
- Trained under his father gaining the skills of a goldsmith and jeweler.

- Influenced by Japanese craftwork and naturalism in the French Art Nouveau style.
- Set up his own workshop in Brussels

1889
- Built an Art Nouveau villa at La Hulpe where he studied flowers, insects, peacocks, swans, bats, etc.
- His designs became quite distinct from those of Wolfers Frères often sinister and surreal.
- International Exhibition, Antwerp, 1894 & exhibition of Les Vingt, Brussels, 1895 – showcased carved ivory.
1902-1904

- His work became more geometric and abstract.
- Turned away from jewelry to create sculpture.
