1866: Born in North Chelsea MA

Studied at the Cowles Art School, coursework at Harvard, and in Europe.

1900: Joined the Society of Arts & Crafts, Boston

1904-1936: Studio at 294-296 Boylston St.

1909:  Master, Society of Arts & Crafts

1916: Medalist, Society of Arts & Crafts (First enamelist to receive this honor)

1919: Work purchased for the permanent collection of the MFA – a silver & enamel box c.1912. Also, silver and enamel pieces purchased by the Detroit Institute of Art and the Cincinnati Museum of Art.

1957: Elizabeth Copland’s Death.

  • 1903-1917: Art Institute of Chicago annual Arts & Crafts Exhibit. (Best Original Design, Mrs. Albert H. Loeb Prize, 1915.)
