Jewelry for the ear. Throughout history all types of material, metal and gems have been used to adorn the ear and are usually affixed with a wire hook or a post with a fitted nut. Styles include studs (solitary stones), girandole (a top with three pendant drops), chandelier (cascading waterfall of stones), disc, hoop, and top and drop.
