This is probably one of the best books on jewelry dealing with the period between 1780 and 1850. The emphasis is on the middle European countries as Germany, Austria an Switzerland. The major jewelry production areas are covered very well with references to historic aspects and fashion of the time. As some important jewelry manufacturing centers were based in Germany in the covered period, this is a must have book for everyone familiar with the German language.
