ABOUT THIS RING
This fanciful and distinctive nineteenth-century ring features a slender marquise, or navette, shape tourmaline displaying a vibrant raspberry color. The gemstone is enthroned in a raised setting and is embraced on two sides with tiny seed pearls in rose gold box settings. The shoulders are adorned with decorative engraving which, over the last century or so, has acquired a lovely warm patina. This delightful antique just-for-fun ring measures just shy of 5/8 inch in length.
