ABOUT THIS WATCH

An exemplary and absolutely stunning Art Deco dress watch, beautifully handcrafted in platinum, circa 1930s. Three rows of sparkling, icy white collet-set diamonds, punctuated by geometric calibre ruby and diamond links, culminate in a rectangular timepiece bordered by matching electric red rubies and embellished north and south by square and baguette diamonds. The dial reads 'Grogan', a vanished retailer of yesteryear. The 17-jewel movement is by the renowned Swiss watchmaker C.H. Meylon, provider of high-quality timepieces to Tiffany, among others. A truly superb Art Deco jewel. 7.50 carats total diamond weight.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
