ABOUT THIS BROOCH

Compared to their blue (sapphire), red (ruby) and all diamond cousins, fine emerald calibre and diamond Art Deco jewels are rare and desired, and this sleek and shining bar pin, measuring just shy of 2 and 1/2 inches long, is a particularly stunning find. Groupings of three vibrant green emeralds alternate with as many sparkling white French-cut diamonds, tapering at the ends where they are embroidered with delicately milgrained diamond-set terminals. A truly gorgeous Jazz Age jewel - circa 1925 - not signed, but worthy of the very finest early-20th century jewelry producers. Match it up with our # 50-1-4792 for a knock-out punch!

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
