ABOUT THIS RING

Remember the 1970's mood ring--the stones changed color depending on your mood. While not nearly as mercurial as the faddish rings from that era, the chameleon-like Alexandrite in this distinctively designed Art Deco style ring does change color--between two richly saturated hues of reddish-purple and deep teal green--depending on the light source. This intriguing stone is highlighted by shoulders adorned with a tapered baguette, gleaming between trios of tiny twinkling round brilliant-cut diamonds. Sleek, stylish, and it won't betray your poker face. Alexandrite weight, 1.00 carat; total diamond weight, .27 carat. Hand fabricated in platinum, currently ring size 5 1/4.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
