ABOUT THIS BROOCH

Music for your eyes! This exquisite violin and bow brooch replicates a rare Amati violin, circa 1645 - with a little sparkling addition! 1.00 carat of diamonds glitter down the bow and all throughout the violin, down the fingerboard, tuning pegs and tailpiece. The violin is finished with a rich enamel coating which replicates the true antique varnish of a violin, signed on the back 'Amati 1645'. A truly classical piece, virtuosically created! The bow measures just under 2 3/4 inches. The violin measures 2 1/2 inches by 3/4 inch.

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
