ABOUT THESE EARRINGS
Victorian jewelers were not fans of plain surfaces, as evidenced by these fun and swingy dangle earrings. The oval drops are overlaid with a cool raised design with textured edges, each accented by a natural pearl-centered star. Tiny scrolls embellish the tops, and small gold spheres shine at the bottom of these fanciful compositions that dance beneath complementing ear wires. Fancy that. Crafted in 15K yellow and rosy-yellow gold (hence of British origin), circa 1880.
