Large Baroque South Sea Pearl Necklace
ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
The origin of the term 'baroque' comes from the Portuguese word for 'imperfect,' 'barocco,' and this 'imperfect' beauty is beyond breathtaking. A gorgeous silvery gray color with an iridescent luster, this wondrous gem of the sea is enwrapped by a satin-finish leaf-bearing vine--highlighted with bright edges and accented with a trio of tiny round brilliant-cut diamonds--that joins to an exquisitely wrought reverse side which is a work of art unto itself. The fabulous free-form creation suspends from an 18-inch diamond-cut rope chain by way of a complementary bail. A perfectly imperfect, stunning statement piece. Rendered in 18K gold. Chain measures 18 inches.
