ABOUT THIS RING

This big, bold, beautiful bauble, dating back to the 1950s-60s, evokes the glamorous jewels of Golden Age Hollywood. Starring a high-domed cabochon sapphire, weighing in at 45 carats, the rich cornflower blue gemstone is gifted by Mother Nature with a gemological phenomenon called 'asterism' (aka the star effect). The shimmering sapphire glistens and glows from within a sparkling halo of small bright white round brilliant-cut diamonds inside a 'ballerina' skirt composed of 28 sizable straight and tapered baguette diamonds totaling 2.30 carats. The clever 'ring-dant' mechanism by Palais converts from a ring into a pendant. 1 1/4 inches by just shy of 1-inch wide. Accompanied by a GIA Gemological Report stating: Natural, No Indications of Heating; Geographic origin - Sri Lanka (Ceylon) origin.
