ABOUT THIS JEWELRY

An original and spectacular jewelry creation by the renowned master goldsmith of mid-century Beverly Hills, Ruser. Suspended from a double 18 inch chain, a sizable, shimmering freshwater baroque pearl (or perhaps an assemblage of a few of them--it's hard to tell due to the backing) serves as the main body of this free-floating jellyfish with tendrils of textured gold and diamonds. The cleverly designed removable bail allows for the piece to be worn as either a brooch or pendant necklace. A most imaginative jewelry art piece. Total diamond weight, 2.15 carats. Measures 2 inches long (not including the bail) by 1 3/8 inches across. Signed Ruser; 18K and platinum. Chains measure 18 inches long and are 14K.

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
