A nineteenth century Etruscan revival 18 karat yellow gold fibula brooch, embellished with twisted wire and granulated beads with a duck-motif component with a flower-motif panel accenting its top. 2″ long. Note: Fibulae were ancient clothing fasteners. They were used in Greek and Roman times to secure robes at the shoulder.
