You wore them on your ponytails when you were seven. The fancy “big girl” dress you donned for your first special occasion had a giant one that wrapped around your waist and tied in the back, perched there like an exotic butterfly. And, chances are, you had a necklace, ring, earrings, pin, or bracelet that featured this charming and enduring element of adornment—the beloved bow.

Now that you’re all grown up, you might wonder, “Is there still a bow for me?” Absolutely! Although the lovely looping ornament never goes out of style, the bow is enjoying a fresh moment in the spotlight. And what better way to uniquely express your grown-up bow vibe than with a vintage version from Lang. From curvy and intricate to sleek and abstract—and everything in between—we have one (or two) you’ll love. Time to browse bows!

Fancy, Frilly, and Fabulous!

Fabric bows, historically used to attach and adorn both men’s and women’s clothing, were so popular that, c.1600, they morphed into gem-set jewelry versions. Soon bows glittering with diamonds took the top spot on the jewelry hit parade.

Edwardian Diamond, Ruby, and Pearl Bow Pendant.

If anyone knew how to tie a bow with a flourish—and lots of sparkle—it was the jewelers of the Edwardian era. The period gave us lovely lace-like confections of flowing, graceful ‘ribbons,’ that formed exquisite bows, frosted with diamonds and often accented with vibrant gemstones. Elegant bling of the highest order.

Pearl Perfection

The captivating luster of pearls plus diamonds? Yes! The combination is irresistible. Shimmering and sparkling, lustrous and luminous —pearls on bows are pure perfection.

Make Mine Streamlined

For those who prefer a sleeker bow, options abound. Fashioned with sweeping lines, crisp angles, and all manner of marvelous details, bows from the Art Deco period are the perfect choice for your striking, yet exquisitely restrained style.

Abstract Allure

Is that a bow? Indeed, it is! Just as abstract painters freely interpret form, so do imaginative jewelers. These arresting angular jewels compel you to take a second look and rethink your concept of the conventional curvy bow.
