A sizable and superb oval locket with a spray of natural half pearls radiating from a central old-mine cut diamond. The reverse is beautifully engraved with florid (undecipherable) initials from a former owner of long, long ago. The locket measures 1 1/2 inches long (2 inches including the bail) by 1 3/8 inches wide. 18 karat rose gold, circa 1880.
