econstruction of an Etruscan earring dating 4C B.C. exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Met Museum earring This work is an reconstructed one inspired by the original. The two earrings original Etruscan dating from around 5C BC from Vulci are in the Metropolitan Museum in New York. My earring is 22 Kt gold, rock crystal with vitreous paste. It is a pendant because 6 cm of diameter and the weight don’t allow to wear it and also because I made only one. It took a long time for the execution and the studying. Each part has been produced with the original old techniques. The materials used are the same as the originals. Courtesy of Ulderico Giuseppe Pettorossi
