Scarab

A scarab is a beetle and was a recurring motif in Ancient Egypt. Ancient, as well as contemporary renditions in carved gemstones, ceramic, glass, and other materials, can be found in Ancient Egyptian jewelry and throughout all of the many Egyptian Revival Periods that follow.
