ABOUT THIS RING

The shining star of this resplendent Art Deco diamond engagement ring - circa 1925 - is a bright and beautiful European-cut diamond, weighing 3.30 carats. This spectacular sparkler is presented in an exceptionally gorgeous original Art Deco mounting, die-struck and hand finished in platinum and thoroughly adorned with small glittering diamonds, decorative pierce work and calibre (synthetic*) sapphire accents. A rare and radiant find. Although the GIA graded the diamond M color, the superb cut of the stone and the faint brown vs. yellow overtone gives it a much whiter appearance than usual. Additionally, the SI1 clarity grade is based on a relatively small colorless feather located way off to the side. Superb and stunning! Currently ring size 6. *Back in the day, circa 1920s-30s, due to their color consistency and flawless clarity, synthetic sapphires were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, the differences between the two discernible only with a microscope.

How to Pair Your Wedding Band

You found your ideal, beautiful, one-of-a-kind antique or vintage engagement ring… and then realized that you need a wedding band to go with it. Pairing the two can be tricky, since vintage engagement rings rarely come with matching bands, and many modern bands don’t accommodate vintage shapes and designs. So we created a line of vintage-style wedding bands, modeled after original pieces from our collection.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
