Antique Bejewelled Parasol Handle

Circa 1880s-90s, originally intended as a fanciful 18K gold parasol handle for a very fashionable lady of the day, this rare and collectible gewgaw is adorned in a graceful tulip floral motif inspired by Indian Mogul jewelry of the 19th century, set with rubies, emeralds and diamonds. The top of the handle has a hidden compartment outfitted with a tiny round vanity mirror. A divine objet d'art for a vitrine, or a handle for a cane, letter opener, magnifying glass, etc.

For the proverbial man or woman who has everything!
