ABOUT THIS WATCH

Few Belle Époque (aka Edwardian-era) pendant/lapel watches come as fine as this exquisite exemplar of turn-of-the-century French jewelry artistry. A rose-cut diamond centered star is the focal point of the rich cornflower blue guilloche enamel case rendered in a silky shimmering moiré pattern. Masterfully hand fabricated in platinum over 18K gold, the watch, bail, and matching lapel pin are outlined with tiny twinkling rose-cut diamonds. The watch easily slips off the lapel pin to be worn as a pendant necklace on the original period platinum and diamond hand made filigree chain. Breathtaking in all respects.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
