ABOUT THIS BRACELET

In this chic, sophisticated, and stunning Jazz Age jewel, twenty bright translucent red rubies - hand-carved in a decorative fruit motif - gleam from within a free-form geometric array of bright-white and sparkling single-cut diamonds secured by a classic pavé-set diamond buckle clasp. Unsigned, but undoubtedly attributed to the Chicagoan/Parisian joint venture of the renowned jeweler and joiallier - Trabert & Hoeffer, Mauboussin. Dating from the peak of the Art Deco period - circa 1925. Total diamond weight, 5.00 carats; total ruby weight, 21.00 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum, it measures approximately 1/2 inch wide at the clasp by 7 inches long. There is an equally lovely multi-colored version which is featured in the book, The Jewels of Trabert & Hoeffer-Mauboussin, A History of American Style and Innovation.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
