ABOUT THIS RING

About as fine and fabulous as you're likely to see in an original Art Deco engagement ring, this consummate Jazz Age jewel, hand-fabricated in platinum, circa 1920s-30s, bears the imprint 'Certified', by Katz & Ogush. A bright white and sparkling European-cut diamond, weighing .65 carat, scintillates between tapered rows of electric blue scissor-cut synthetic sapphires (original to the period and the ring) bordered on each side by small European-cut diamonds, all accentuated with delicate milgraining. The sleekly styled ring is finished with a pierced foliate motif side gallery and a hand-engraved ring shank. Singular and sensational in every detail. .90 carat total diamond weight, currently ring size 7. Due to its construction, this ring can only be re-sized down to size 6.

How to Pair Your Wedding Band

You found your ideal, beautiful, one-of-a-kind antique or vintage engagement ring… and then realized that you need a wedding band to go with it. Pairing the two can be tricky, since vintage engagement rings rarely come with matching bands, and many modern bands don’t accommodate vintage shapes and designs. So we created a line of vintage-style wedding bands, modeled after original pieces from our collection.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
