ABOUT THIS RING

Polarized sunglasses are recommended when viewing this vintage sizzler up close! Weighing in at 8.62 carats, this icy-white European-cut diamond* dates back to the early-20th century and bears a GIA Diamond Grading Report stating: G color - SI2 clarity. The impressive ultra-sparkler beams brilliantly from within a classic Art Deco solitaire mounting, hand fabricated and hand engraved in platinum and modestly embellished with small single-cut diamonds on the shoulders. The diamond is seated in an elegantly stylized setting which has the added advantage of seemingly enhancing the dimension of the already amply-sized stone. Currently ring size 5 1/2. *The beauty of antique and vintage diamonds, compared to their modern counterparts, are the individual characteristics which distinguish each and every stone. Rather than strictly adhering to cookie-cutter formulas, the diamond cutters of yesteryear viewed each rough diamond as an ancient Greek or Roman sculptor viewed a rough piece of marble and proceeded to fashion it according to the dictates of nature, and his own artistic impulses, to create the most beautiful and valuable stone possible.

How to Pair Your Wedding Band

You found your ideal, beautiful, one-of-a-kind antique or vintage engagement ring… and then realized that you need a wedding band to go with it. Pairing the two can be tricky, since vintage engagement rings rarely come with matching bands, and many modern bands don’t accommodate vintage shapes and designs. So we created a line of vintage-style wedding bands, modeled after original pieces from our collection.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
