Edwardian Diamond Floral Motif Pin
In this distinctive and charming Edwardian-era pin--glittering brightly with an array of rose and old mine-cut diamonds--a trio of lovely flowers floats in an open frame above a striking radial element. The beauty of the design is that it allows the fabric of your scarf/lapel/hat/sweater (there are so many ways to wear it!) to become the backdrop of this artful assemblage. Total diamond weight, 1.25 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum. When it is not busy making you look even more beautiful, this delightful jewel rests in its own box, printed on the inside with "Hicklenton Gem Specialist, 4 Queen Street, E.C.T." George Ernest Hicklenton established the retail business of Hicklenton and Sydal in 1910. He had previously been a salesman with Mappin & Webb. He formed a partnership with William Sydal, at 4 Queen Street in London. The business continues today under the name of Hicklenton & Phillips.
